Veeam has announced to buy Securiti AI, an enterprise customer managing sensitive workloads in public clouds, for $1.73.

This acquisition adds Securiti AI’s Data Command Center to Veeam, broadening its use case beyond that of backup and recovery into active data governance. It was reported on Tuesday, October 21.

Data Command Center consolidates structured and unstructured data from multiple cloud sources, which are subject to automated policies grounding security, privacy, and compliance.

Veeam expects this product to eventually be integrated natively with its data protection suite.

Once the deal closes in late Q4, Securiti AI CEO Rehan Jalil will become Veeam’s president of security and AI.

Veeam Names Kinda Baydoun as Head of EMEA Partner Organization

On September 25, Veeam announced Kinda Baydoun as the new leader of its EMEA Partner Organization.

From the company’s Dubai office, she will drive partner strategy throughout the region and report directly to global channel leadership.

Baydoun has spent the past four years managing partner alignment across the Middle East, English-speaking Africa, and Eastern Europe.

During this time, she helped launch region-specific programs tied to the Veeam Data Cloud rollout and worked on tactical go-to-market campaigns to increase partner-led cloud adoption.

She also worked on wider-ranging EMEA initiatives such as resource planning, incentive redesign, and territory coverage models.

Her new position is aimed at enhancing the partner’s performance in high-growth markets while also ensuring close alignment of global priorities with local execution.
