The new perks are estimated to deliver over $3,500 in value each year, based on AmEx’s own calculations.
These changes apply to both Consumer and Business Platinum Card® holders.
They also include expanded credits and access across travel, dining, entertainment, retail, wellness, and select business services.
The company seems to respond to how cardholders – particularly Millennials and Gen Z – approach premium credit cards.
Analysts note that these groups are more likely to view high-fee cards as bundled services, paying for ongoing access to travel and lifestyle-related benefits.
